Team: Asia Operations Projects
Summary
Operations & Country COOs (OPC) in Hong Kong is made up of four main teams:

Corporate Banking Operations (CBO) including Documentary & Guarantee Operations, Credit & Loan Operations and Client Account Operations

Capital Markets Operations (CMO) including Middle Office, Back Office and Transverse Operations functions

Asia & Middle-East Operations Projects (AOP) covering CMO, CBO and Transversal projects

Organisation team (ORG)
Asia Operations Projects team is in charge of managing projects for Capital Market Operations (CMO) and Corporate Banking Operations (CBO) teams in Asia and Middle-East. Projects managed by the team will be IT related (In-house system enhancement, new system deployment, etc.), global harmonization-driven projects (processes harmonization for Trade Finance Operations across Asia sites, review and alignment of workflows to match Head Office ones, etc.), organization initiatives (process centralization, etc.), or related to business development (development of the Cash Management offer within the region, client centralization in the Regional Operational platforms, etc.).
In order to cope with the projects to be managed within this scope, we are looking for a permanent position that will be in charge of the management of the new or already in progress projects within the region focusing on projects related to CBO activities. One of the main project the permanent staff will have to work on is the deployment of cash management deployment in the Asia region for the Operations department.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate actions between Operations teams in Asia and all stakeholders (IT, Compliance, Legal,…).
- Be in charge of PMO activities (planning, reporting, dashboard and progress reports, meeting animation etc.).
- Collect and formalize user business requirements, draft test cases and provide support to the users when implementing a project.
- Maintain a strong relationship with the Head-Office Project team.
- Carry out studies on existing set-up in order to find areas for improvement.
- Prepare and implement Change Management plans for Operations teams.
Role Requirements
- Master degree holders, with strong academic background in corporate banking, Finance or relevant discipline
- Strong analytical skills and quantitative skills, prior experience in Corporate Banking operations will be an advantage
- Strong communication and problem solving skills with ability to provide solutions
- Self-motivated and independent with a strong sense of commitment and responsibility
- Able to be multi-task, meet deadlines and motivate others to meet deadlines.
- Responsible, positive attitude, attentive to details & able to work under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
