Overview

The research associate is responsible for executing research initiatives to examine the flow of capital between investors and fund managers in the alternative asset classes we cover.

The role is ideal for individuals with good written and research skills, high levels of self-motivation, excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to learn about the market to have informed conversations with senior executives and industry experts.

Responsibilities

• Correspond with senior executives and industry experts.
  
• Manage a series of investor and fund manager profiles.
  
• Write high quality data-led analysis pieces.
• Liaise with our editorial, events, and sales teams to showcase our research proposition and collaborate on cross-department initiatives.
• Collaborate with researchers in Hong Kong, London, and New York to work on a series of rankings, surveys, and bespoke projects.
• Maintain knowledge of alternative assets via a range of intelligence sources.

Experience and qualifications

• Microsoft Excel – formulas, chart creation, data capture, data analysis.
• Teamwork – ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Communication – excellent spoken and written English (proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean is advantageous).
• Knowledge – a working knowledge of and interest in financial services is a distinct advantage.
• Research skills – attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to work.
• Education – degree educated.
