Key functions/responsibilities:

Design

• As part of the Individual Giving team, work closely with our writers, Campaign Marketing Manager and Production Manager to support all areas of fundraising with all design and artwork requests.

• Deliver conceptual creative ideas and communications that can smoothly translate across all print and online collateral for all global activities, including in the Hong Kong, US, UK, Australian, and European markets.

• Responsible for concept, layout design, artwork and supervision of production for all fundraising materials, including

-        Printed collateral such as direct mail, annual reviews, brochures, leaflets, newsletters

-        Digital marketing including eDMs, website and social media ads

-        Billboards, posters and non-traditional OOH

-        Ad-hoc emergency appeals

-        Banners and print ads

-        Merchandise

-        Events backdrops and invitations

• Ensure all creative and graphic content and layouts are compelling, follow industry best practices in design.

• Able to effectively communicate and deliver concepts and artwork in response to briefs, presenting design work at various stages to project lead for review.

• Thorough attention to detail when working on design and layout is essential, ensuring that the design and artwork delivered meet the expectations of Animals Asia and our supporters.

• Knowledge of design web standards; working to and supplying artwork files and graphics in the correct formats.

• Carry out competitor analysis to ensure we are current and innovative in our creative offerings.

• Analyse marketing campaigns and recommendations to continuously improve our marketing efforts at Animals Asia.

• Carry out regular competitor analysis and analyse our own creative offerings to ensure we are current and innovative in our marketing materials.

Line Management

• Provide line management to the Graphic Designer ensuring that they are supported in the delivery and prioritisation of their work, as well as their personal and professional development.

Managing and Updating the Creative Library

• Responsible for ensuring the creative library is updated, catalogued and handled effectively.

Reporting Relationship:

• Reports to Senior Marketing Manager

Candidate Requirements:

• At least 2 years proven graphic design experience directly within the fundraising sector or at an agency servicing fundraising clients

• Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Dreamweaver

• Ability to handle complex design projects from concept to execution

• Willingness to work flexible hours to ensure that there is regular live discussion on projects with the copywriter and digital executives, based in the UK

• Bright, positive and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic and “can do” attitude

• Ability to problem solve and independently manage multiple projects

• Work collaboratively across multiple departments, teams and countries

• Independent, well organized, responsible & self-motivated

• Able to communicate effectively with other country offices as well as local teams; able to work and solve problems independently

• Fluent in English
