The Employer

Our client is an international fashion icon with headquarter in North America. They have set up their global sourcing hub in Hong Kong recently and is now expanding their operations in their Raw Materials Team.

Job Duties

Reporting to the Raw Materials Director (seen as a friendly and reasonable leader), you will oversee and lead the trim and embellishment sourcing and production in the region. You will explore new vendors, support trims development with US counterparts and design. You will counter sourcing for saving costs. You will be the gatekeeper for risk management and inform management for potential risks. You will work with vendors and present solutions to both HQ team in US and management. You will organize and manage trim library in HK. You will work with R&D from suppliers and share with the HQ as part of design inspiration research.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should be a bachelor degree holder majoring in Textile/ Garment/ Fashion Technology, etc. You should possess at least 8 years of trims experience from global brands and knowledgeable in diverse trim types such as hardware, zippers, buttons, labels, packaging, etc. Talents with past US fashion buying office experience are highly preferred. You should speak fluent English, Mandarin & Cantonese. You should be innovative, self-motivated and able to solve issues under pressure.
