Job Description
Responsibilities
- Based on costing and production planning information, decide where to place the manufacturing orders (inbound and/or outbound factories)
- Increase further our outbound factory network solutions and ensure backup factory solutions for all product categories in Asia
- Develop a negotiation strategy that delivers against business objectives and achieves sustainable relationships with partner factories and our own factories
- Negotiate the best price with our partner factories and ensure on time delivery
- Monitor the production process to ensure an on time delivery
- Work closely with our merchandising team, costing team and production planning team
- Ensure that quality requirements are set, approval of limit samples and follow up golden sealed sample
- Establish quality control procedures in conjunction with company technical resources and supply chain partners.
- Work to resolve customer complaints and problems
- Ensure compliance with supply chain activities standards and regulations
- Strategic sourcing and factory capacity planning, build up long term partnership and factory solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering or Logistics or Sourcing or Supply Chain
- Management or other relevant background
- 3-5+ years experience in a similar position (Bag, luggage or textile industry preferred)
- Excellent written & oral communication skills in English and Mandarin
- Highly organized and efficient in time management
- Ability to perform detail-oriented work with minimal supervision
- Rational and analytic thinking
- Strong MS Office skills and knowledge of ERP-system and databases
- Ability to travel 20-30% both domestic and overseas
