Support the Database & Analytics team to implement the overall data strategy for MSF Hong Kong and new markets on databases management & administration and to provide data processing support to users, prepare marketing analysis and donation statistics/other reports’ preparation. Facilitate the implementation of optimization strategy in database infrastructure, processes, integration with cross-platforms data, and assist in providing data-driven advice which foster programs effectiveness and efficiency.

Major Responsibilities

1. Database administration and support

• To provide assistance in data mining activities, including:
  • Campaign performance analysis and monthly reports
  • Donor profile and movement analysis according to key donor KPIs
  • Donor segmentation and targeting for campaigns
  • Extracting data for fundraising programs
  • Setting up queries and related automated process to facilitate user’s reports preparation, analysis and segmentation.

• To manage timely data refreshes to and from data platforms/source for donation management, campaign management and/or data analysis
• To train fundraising team on how to make use of the structure and function of the database in facilitating data base marketing and donor relationship management
• To perform regular data cleansing or other tasks necessary to avoid redundant constituent record and to ensure data integrity

2. Analysis (Campaign performance and Tracking)

• Support results tracking with defined KPIs for different fundraising campaigns, and donation data consolidation, analysis and providing optimization recommendations to the Fundraising team.
• Provide guidance, skill-sharing and support to MSF HK and new regional offices’ database users
• Stay up to date with the latest analytical and predictive tools. Identify new and insightful ways of communicating analytical outcomes to relevant stakeholders through the exploration of visualization techniques.

3. Forecasting, Projection and Variance Analysis

• Support the team heads in preparation of the data, report and analysis for the Fundraising/Financial projection or forecast
• Create and maintain dashboards/BI reports and perform general reporting activities to monitor and report HK FR KPIs on a timely pattern

The Ideal Candidate

• University graduate in Computer Science, IT, Data Management, Statistic or related disciplines
• 2-3 years working experience in database management and data analysis in corporate or non-profit organization; or other relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of marketing/fundraising and statistical principles.
• Excellent analytical skills to evaluate opportunities from cross-platforms’ data
• Demonstrable experience of using SQL (or similar software package), with ability to design complex series of queries to interrogate data
• Excellent command of MS Excel and experience with Power BI
• Knowledge of CRM Dynamic and IT knowledge is an asset
• Good command of English and Chinese
• Commitment to MSF principles
• Able to work independently but also a good team player
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Associate Database & Analytics Officer
