Position Objectives:

Monitors and manages the underwriting team to ensure that the whole team works smoothly and the work flow is consistent to the company guidelines to maintain their high standards which is enviable of the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for underwriting medical cases accurately to minimize unnecessary risk
• Continuously develop yourself to stay ahead of the pack by keeping your knowledge and expertise up to date through seminars, networking and self-learning
• Monitor and manage the quality & efficiency of the team, as well as finding ways to elevate the performance of the team
• Act as a mentor to junior staff and provide help when necessary
• Personally liaise with the broker & tele-sales team in a prompt manner

Requirements:

• Degree Holder with a proven history of medical underwriting
• Minimum of 8 years solid underwriting experience in life insurance
• Candidates with less experience would be considered as Assistant Manager
• Open minded individuals with an ability to think outside the box would be highly regarded
• Enthusiastic and sociable underwriters are highly preferred to both excel in the job and get along with the team
• Possess good technical medical and underwriting knowledge with medical authority
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, presentation skills with an ability to communicate well
• Fluent in English and Chinese
