Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Support the Director, PR and Programs in developing and implementing corporate communications strategies to enhance the Chamber’s corporate image;
- Manage various aspects of corporate communications functions such as media relations, Chamber-wide programmes, corporate publications, etc., to ensure corporate messages are conveyed to the public properly;
- Initiate and organize Chamber-wide programmes and events including international and local conferences, high level luncheons, press conferences, gala dinners, social events, etc;
- Serve as committee secretary for geographical committees, assist in membership relations (international/overseas) and business assistance service including business matching, as well as organizing trade missions and receiving international visitors/ delegations;
- Work closely with the membership team in identifying international companies/ companies overseas as potential targets for membership recruitment;
- Maintain close relations with various stakeholders in particular with the media, consulates general, conference organizations, inter-chambers and other associations.
Requirements:
- Degree holder with major in Journalism, Business, Communications or related discipline; preferable 6 years of working experience in corporate communications or public relations in sizeable organizations;
- Good knowledge of current affairs and solid experience in dealing with the media, government officials, and business corporates;
- Strong communication, presentation and event management skills; excellent command in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese);
- Proficiency in MS office applications Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
