Responsibilities

• Cover Hong Kong daily financial and wealth management news, produce videos and content for various digital platforms
• Pitch story ideas, conduct interviews and related research
• Build contacts & strengthen the knowledge and networking in assigned beats
• Have the creativity to write engagingly, to propose suitable projects that are attractive for viewers and users
• Be a good team player and work with other colleagues such as photographer, videographers and designers
• Be able to take on high value added tasks like data journalism, investigative or series reports aiming to enhance work quality
• Follow Business Times style in writing copies and help spot and prevent errors
• Work on weekend or in emergency situations when required

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or above in Journalism or New Media or related disciplines from a reputable university.
• 1-2 years’ experience in financial media
• Familiar and interest with new economy of Hong Kong and Mainland China
• Familiar with social media networks, such as facebook, Instagram, Wechat, QQ
• Proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese and English
• Good command of reporting and writing skills with strong news sense and able to turn stories around quickly
• Detail-minded with high sense of responsibility, able to work independently and under pressure
• Outgoing personality, energetic, with good interpersonal skills
