Responsibilities

• Develop and execute exhibition research and concepts with curators, artists, designers, architects, writers and performers
• Coordinate artwork production and logistics
• Organize exhibition public programs, including talks and symposia, coordinate outreach to a wide range of audience, conduct docent tours
• Produce publicity materials including press releases, flyers and coordinate with the press
• Proofread and translate (to and from English and Chinese) exhibition materials
• Coordinate with writers, translators and designers to execute publications/book projects
• Communicate and coordinate with government representatives international museums and institutions
• Write grants and proposals
• Facilitate sales of artworks :

  including communication with clients , promoting the gallery profile through social media platforms.

• Conduct condition checks and maintain artwork related records
• Maintain a proactive presence in local art scene and awareness of international developments in arts and culture
• Manage and updtae active website.

Requirements

• A Masters level degree in Art History, Fine Art, Media Art or related disciplines
• Fluency in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua. Knowledge of one other European language is a plus.
• Initiative to develop and execute new ideas.
• Strong writing skills in English and Chinese
• Public speaking abilities
