Key responsibilities:

Work within the Product team and other teams as required to coordinate the purchase of furniture and home accessories. Such support requires purchasing goods and services both competitively and wisely to promote customer good will, profitability, and company growth.

 

To achieve Sales targets, by having the right product in the right place at the right time and stock cover to achieve both sales and efficient stock holding

 

Stock Management

  • Managing the Core Inventory, replenishment, managing the stock cover, budget, out of stocks. In all BU’s (Hong Kong, Shanghai, Middle East – Retail & Corporate Sales Departments)
  • Providing forecasts for suppliers and to manage future stock
  • Work to the Critical path to ensure on time arrival of all items, for launch dates, sales, replenishment & samples
  • Assist the Supply Chain in inventory control. Manage inventory levels to maintain adequate but minimum inventories
  • With the Head of Buying set the seasonal OTB, and manage the budget through the season
  • Identify ways of improving process, costs or communications

 

Range Build

  • Know and understand the Indigo Product Range – knowing best sellers, overstocked/out of stock
  • Work closely with the Buying team to build the Product Category
  • Work with Buying on Options plan for future seasons to achieve Sales target and stock cover targets
  • Plan Mark down for Sales & discontinued stock
  • Work within the OTB (Open to Buy Budget) for the Product Areas covered

Reporting

  • Key reporting on Sales & Inventory throughout the season
  • Stock Cover - Overstocked/ Under stock / Aging Stock
  • Analysis of Reports
  • Communicate to the business delays & out of stocks/ high stock levels
  • Ensure on time arrival of stock, to allow for Visual Merchandising store set up, Sales teams to fulfill customer orders on time

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Merchandising/ Planning
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Good command of English & Cantonese in oral and written. Mandarin a plus
  • Proficient in Excel & good computer skills
  • Detail-minded, self-motivated, committed and a good team player
  • Good communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to travel to Mainland China or overseas if necessary
