Responsibilities:

• To source or develop the right fabric according to timelines, target prices, sourcing policy, quality standards and customer directions;
• To set specification and qualifying fabrics to execute the appropriate design interpretation, as well as the technical performance characteristics to meet end use requirements;
• Mainly develop and sourcing on fabric material of knit material
• To initiate and monitor all fabric developments and be responsible for initial fabric price negotiations with suppliers during development stage;
• To provide latest information on fabric trends/technic to merchandising units, sales office and customers by gathering innovative input from relevant fairs, supplier meetings, apparel fabric or material show;
• To work with mills to achieve desired qualities, research seasonal direction, fabric innovation and explore new technology;
• To set up and maintain the fabric library and work on continuously improving the setup and updating to ensure brand and trend relevance.
• To partner with QA to monitor bulk fabric quality. 
   

Requirements:

• Degree holder majoring in textile preferable;
• 10 years' development experience in textile field, specially within functional and performance knit fabric. Excellent knowledge on fabric testing. Very familiar with engineering functional and performance feature.
• Solid experience in functional and performance knit fabric are MUST
• Solid sourcing experience on performance knit in Taiwan is definately advantage.
• Good command of spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin;
• Good presentation and communication skill
• Strong technical background on fabric; good knowledge on fabric dyeing, printing, chemicals, construction and pricing;
• Capability of working with multiple projects and cross functional teams; able to work creatively for the best fabric presentation;
• Independent, well-organized, presentable;
• Willing to travel occasionally.
• Less ecperiences will be considered as Senior Fabric Specialist.
