Job Description

SUMMARY

Inventory Planner has the following responsibilities

  • To allocate and replenish merchandise from Regional DC to Stores on the base of the coverage target for each store / SKU combination, with the pursuit of getting the right products to the right place at just the right time
  • To run the consolidation process, drive decision & execute store to store transfers for the styles under his/her responsibility
  • Liaise with Merchandising partners on a regular basis to ensure alignment on launch strategies and full end to end lifecycle of product optimization

 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To execute allocation and replenishment strategies from DC to Stores in a timely matter
  • To ensure the correct balance of inventory in the stores according to assortment matrix
  • To evaluate the stock allocation and distribution on the base of sales, distribution plan, rationing criteria (or fair share) in order to maximize service level in Region and to support sales objectives
  • To monitor and control store sales and stock levels in the Region
  • To be conscious and aware of store capacities, ensuring the right depth of products to support demand
  • To work with Warehouse Department from a logistics perspective. Understand lead time, logic of picking and packing, scheduling of delivery for each store & prioritizing styles to be processed according to business needs
  • To manage the “give and take” process according to analysis of stock balance and transport cost, including ICT between HK & MO
  • To anticipate peak selling periods and build a sound strategy with execution to support stock builds in advance
  • To partner closely with stores to support demand, client reservations & adhoc requests
  • To feedback to Central Planning on business trend & sales reaction, ensuring Regional needs are met

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Economics, Finance/Accounting, Mathematics or Statistics desired
  • Minimum 3 years of related working experience preferred; experience in managing end of life cycle and obsolete inventory and fashion brand is an advantage
  • Detail oriented, high accuracy, good numeric sense
  • Able to handle multi-tasks and to lead cross-functionally.
  • Must possess excellent collaboration, communication and analytical skills
  • Able to sustain consistency under a fast paced environment
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel Access and BI tools to monitor performances and KPI
  • Good command of English and Chinese
