Job Description

Responsible To:                   Sales Director

Responsible For                  

The acquisition of sales resulting from a professional spec-in process directly and indirectly from target end customers based on the company strategy and objectives.                              

The Position

The job is based in Hong Kong with 80% of time stationing or travelling in China

Primary Responsibilities

  1. To present and promote the micro-controller driven bio-metric sensing solutions including as heart rate to brand owners via direct and indirect channels.
  2. You will be fully trained in all aspects of WBD101 solutions.
  3. You will manage all spec-in process and sales operations with the target channels and customers
  4. You will develop project pipelines by managing a professional spec-in process with in-house technical team and manage the project from the beginning till the end with: 
  • Target OEM suppliers
  • Independent design houses specializing on audio and wearable electronics, Bluetooth technologies
  • Product management of a brand to proactively promote WBD101 solutions as the perfect choices to their product development road map
  • Project teams of authorized distributors
  1. You will develop new business relationships and maintain existing relationships with Key OEM or Brands who have the potential to develop products with WBD101 solutions.
  2. You will be expected to achieve your monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
  3. You will be expected to spend 80% of your time out of the office in face to face meetings. Travel is a key part of the job and overnight stays may be required. Whilst most meetings are within the China/GuangDong region, occasional travels outside of this region may be required.  
  4. You will be responsible for your own project lead generation and appointment making, but you will be supported by marketing and engineers
  5. You must possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring that all sales and project opportunities for WBD101 and its associates are captured and explored to the full extend.
  6. You will need to present solutions in professional and structured customer group meetings or seminars on behalf of WBD101.
  7. You will manage and maintain an active pipeline and ensure all sales administration is current for regular business reviews.
  8. Based on a set of standard company presentation materials, you will create and be accountable for all customer presentations, proposals and any other documentation such as quotation and business contracts according to WBD101’s procedure and processes. The quotation will have to be prudently made according to WBD’s pricing strategy.
  9. You will work as a team with the technical and back office support colleagues in the offices.
  10. You will be expected to keep abreast of developments in the wearable electronics business in the marketplace and feedback competitor activity to your manager and the marketing manager.

 Essential Experience

 A minimum of 5-year experience with in the semi-con or chip set solutions industry.

  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relationship building skills.
  • Receptive to innovation and change.
  • Ability to prioritize and independently
  • Working knowledge of sensing, Bluetooth and wearable electronics solutions is a definite plus

 Desirable Experience 

  • Experience in working in a multi-national organization.
  • Strong management skills to lead and co-ordinate.
  • Leadership capability
  • Presentation skills including to big audience
  • Semiconductor sales especially in China

Essential Knowledge 

  • User level knowledge of Microsoft computer packages
  • Good selling and closing skills

Desirable Knowledge 

  • Experience in mobile APP’s for wearable electronics.
  • Experience in the Bluetooth market especially BT earphones.

Education

  • Degree holder in Engineering, Science, Marketing or Business Management.
