Job Description

Summary of Qualifications:

Hong Kong base and will work from Matrix subsidiary office in Hong Kong

1. Develop Hospitality business within territory by prospecting, cold calling, lead generation and building the sales pipeline with existing key accounts.

2. Drive new growth by effectively addressing the customer's business needs, offering appropriate value proposition, and closing accounts.

3. Build new sales opportunities through solution selling to hospitality customers and cultivate positive customer relationships.

4. Communicate and demonstrate the value of Matrix product and connected solutions

5. Negotiate opportunities, manage client expectations, and present effectively via product demos and presentations

6. Know and understand the Asia Pacific hospitality industry and how to articulate Matrix value proposition to hospitality operators and owners

7. Manage a pipeline and numerous opportunities simultaneously while providing accurate and timely forecasts via the CRM

8. Collaborate cross-functionally, and work well in a team-oriented environment

Required Skills

1. Highly motivated self-starter, with entrepreneurial mindset and results-driven attitude

2. Minimum 3 years experience in selling into the B2B Hospitality segment in Asia Pacific

3. Excellent listening, presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

   Mandarin preferred.

4. The ability to work independently or as part of a team

4. Customer oriented, building collaborative relationships with both Key management within Hotel chains as well as SBU to develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships.

Work Responsibilities

1. Win xx% of all Marriott Hotel Group opportunities in the Region

2. Leverage and further develop the existing regional level relationships with key hotel chains in Asia Pacific (Region) to help drive sales at the SBU national level

3. Establish, qualify and win sales opportunities within the Hospitality segments in the Greater China region

4. Develop a network of dedicated sales staff focused on hospitality sales within key SBUs of the Region

5. Develop sales material and provide training support in coordination with the International Training Director to this network of hospitality sales staff

6. Build and maintain the territory database for Hospitality

7. Attend regional seminars and events and follow up on leads and programs generated by such regional marketing activities.

8. Target xx% market share of the segment in the Region within 2 years.

9. Become highly competent in floor layouts, zone planning and product configuration

 

The qualification for appointment

1. Preferred Graduate level education

2. 3-5 years successful B2B outside sales experience and proven track record of consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals as well as closing pipeline

3. Languages must include but not limited to English and Mandarin

 

KPI

 Adherence to Work Plan, CRM usage, Follow up Actions. Development of relationship with key management within regional and global hotels, appointment of trained sales staff in each Asia SBU dedicated to Hospitality
