Summary

The missions of CMO teams are to process Capital markets transactions in a secure, timely and cost efficient manner. To participate in the control chain on operations by overseeing compliance with regulations and keeping operational risks under control.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily process Capital Markets transactions including validation of trades and settlement.
• Provide management with information on unusual booking and settlement matters.
• Initiate follow-up of discrepancies found in Nostro reconciliation and FOBO stock reconciliation.
• Initiate client contact on post trade issue or settlement matters and handle enquiry where necessary.
• Handle complex capital markets transactions (e.g. structured deposits) under the supervision of team head
• Make recommendation on ways to improve the day-to-day processing and settlement of various capital markets products 
  

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• University degree holder majoring in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related discipline
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Back Office or Middle Office in a banking environment; hands-on processing experience in derivatives and  treasury products is preferred
• Familiar with the operations of systems like Murex, Summit, Calypso, Reuters, Bloomberg, SWIFT, RTGS
• Ability to respond and react constructively in demanding situations
• Good sense of alertness and urgency
• Good understanding of financial products and bank operation
• Proficiency in Office applications and PC tools
• Good interpersonal and communication skill
• Good command of English and Chinese
