Key Role and Responsibilities: 

• Handle trade transactions, assist the team head to provide guidance to subordinates.
• Liaise with both Trade Clients and business units to facilitate the daily transaction.
• Adopt an organized approach to perform daily operations, meet deadlines and illustrate efficiency and accuracy in all trade operation related tasks. 
• In addition to the tradition trade deals, assist to handle and review the Bank Guarantee, Standby LC, Front/Back to Back LC deals, etc.
• Ensure full compliance with the HK regulatory requirements and bank internal guidelines/procedures when going through the daily routines. 
• Prepare returns/reports or maintain good registers for internal use or regulatory reporting purposes.
• Complete any ad-hoc tasks/missions/jobs assigned by the Management and/or supervisor.

Qualificatons and Skills:

• Bachelor degree holder of above in Business Administration, Banking and Finance or relevant disciplines
• Holder of relevant professional qualification / certificate (e.g. CDCS, CITF, CSDG, etc.) is preferred
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in trade finance / trade operations (at least 3 years of relevant experience for checker role)
• Good understanding of relevant international rules and practice (e.g. UCP600, ISBP745, ISP98, URDG758, etc.), HKMA AMLO Guideline and HKAB Guidance Paper on Combating Trade-based Money Laundering
• In-depth knowledge and experience in Commodities and Structured Trade Financing
• Knowledge in Factoring business is an advantage
• Self-initiated, analytical-minded with strong business acumen
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in computer software such as Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Good command of written & spoken English and Cantonese. Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus
• Candidate with less experience would be considered as Assistant Vice President or Manager
