Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Manager in managing and planning all capital/non-capital works projects of the Corporation to ensure projects are accomplished in time, within budget and to required quality;
- Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders in accomplishing project objectives. Provide technical support and expert advice on discipline-related issues to other members of the project team, as well as to in-house staff of other divisions;
- Prepare procurement documents for selection/appointment of consultants and to follow up on subsequent management and monitor of their performance;
- Coordinate with consultants, government departments and relevant organizations on project planning, design and implementation;
- Ensure compliance with the Corporation’s guidelines and Delegation Authority for capital works projects;
- Prepare Papers and Reports for vetting and approval by the Board, Committees and Task Force of the Corporation;
- Independently handle improvement and minor works, including term contracts, defects-rectification works, fitting out and alteration and addition works. Production of drawings/graphics for presentation and drawings/tender documents for selection/appointment of contractor/s;
- Control documents and drawings registry;
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- Possession of a Higher Diploma or above in Building Surveying / Architectural Studies / Building Services or related disciplines;
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience in building projects with civil/structural; Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Senior Technical Officer;
- Other qualifications in design, construction related management, etc will be an advantage;
- Conversant with graphics presentation tools. Skill on graphic software such as MS Visio, Adobe, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, Revit will be an advantage;
- Experience in developing and managing R&D/institutional buildings, is preferred;
- Proficiency in project management / design related computer application software is preferred;
- Knowledge of statutory requirements and procedures for development projects in Hong Kong;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
