Job Description

Project Manager – Shanghai Office Relocation & Renovation 

 

Position Objective

Based in Shanghai and act as a Project Leader in planning, managing, and executing the renovation, fit out, and relocation of an Investment Bank’s corporate office and IT infrastructure in Shanghai.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute project with high quality, within budget and according to the agreed schedule and company’s expectations and requirements
  • Provide expertise and knowledge on office design, layout, etc.
  • Provide renovation and relocation plan for both office/desk space and IT equipment.
  • Plan, coordinate, and follow up with contractors and sub-contractors’ activities on site.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders on a regular basis to meet project schedule.
  • Actively participate in management meetings and share necessary updates on project.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports to the team, including senior management.
  • Keep track of accurate inventory list of office and IT equipment and make purchases of new equipment if necessary.
  • Work closely with vendors to source new service providers, evaluate providers’ service level, and review new service agreements.
  • Review current service agreements and terminate agreements when necessary.
  • Maintain proper and complete project documentations with building management, landlord and public institutions.
  • Take up any ad-hoc Administration assignments/projects as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Facility Management / Business Administration Management.
  • Minimum 5 years of solid experience in planning, managing and executing corporate office move, renovation, and fit out projects
  • Similar projects exposure in China and in banking and financial services will be advantages
  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work well with both internal and external parties across all levels up to senior management.
  • Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers
  • Result-oriented with energy and ability to deliver positive results according to timeline.
  • Ability to work under stressful and fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on and willingness to take up additional tasks as assigned.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
  • Eligible to station in Shanghai, China
