Job Description

A leading European Consumer Goods MNC which has retail and wholesale business across the globe is now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. The role will be based in HK, responsible for site strategy, store expansion plans, finding sites, rent negotiations mainly focused on Hong Kong region. 

Responsibilities:


Business Development

  • Proactively seek the right location of new POS opportunities by building strong real estate network in the region and negotiate with relevant parties

  • Make new store opening plan in line with the business development strategy, accordingly coordinates & manages the timely execution of the network development plan by working closely with brands and function term


New store identification

  • Identify potential new sites and prepare sales forecast for potential site based on city planning, retail and real estate market conditions, demography, consumer’s spending behaviour and competition and etc.

  • Prepare new store feasibility report - Negotiate with landlord about the best terms and conditions


Construction management

  • Coordinate with Construction Department and landlord construction department)
  • Finalize tenancy agreement and provide all property documents from landlord for legal approval
  • Facilitate the new store opening by coordinating with landlord to ensure all the legality issues and renovation requirements are met
  • Maintain good relationship with landlord or property agent for future store development
  • Consistently improve the location/space and business terms of existing shops inside shopping mall by building up strong network with management
  • Dealing with business license application and other certificate from government (if needed)
  • Keep track of major competitor’s development plan and feedback to management.


Requirements:

  • University Degree with any disciplines
  • At least 5 years of experience in Leasing negotiation, Site planning strategy or related fields
  • Passion, dedication and ambition are must
  • Self-initiated, result-oriented, analytical and be able to work under pressure
  • Good command of Chinese and English (Fluent English and Mandarin)
