Job Description

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Wolverine supply chain planning team optimizes product planning and inventory across 12 brands and 100 factories.  The optimization analyst supports the global supply chain planning and sourcing teams with high impact reporting dashboards and data visualization to drive improved supply chain planning, concept to marketing and factory planning.   He/she works in a high impact, high visibility cross functional capability with product development, sourcing, supply planning and operations to elevate the analytical capability of the organization through new inventory management frameworks, tools and reporting. 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

  1. Build and deliver visualization tools, dashboards and high value reporting that improve the performance of data heavy functions including supply planning, order management and concept to market processes.
  2. Lead the development of “outlier” based analytical tools that optimize the concept to market and supply chain process.
  3. Influence key business leaders through data and analytics.
  4. Participate / lead the analytical software and tool agenda, develop strategic plan for evolving the function.
  5. Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Sourcing and operations.
  6. Partner with operations teams to deliver factory supply planning strategies.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Excels at simplifying complicated topics
  • Excellent Analytical skills and the ability to use extensive system knowledge to generate informative reports and analyze and recommend alternative actions
  • Prior experience working with and implementing large software rollouts
  • Collaborative team player with demonstrated integrity
  • Strong proficiency in reporting / analytics / visualization tools and the ability to build informative reporting tools
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit
  • Interest to experiment and drive new learning and translate insights into original concepts that benefit the business
  • Inspire trust by establishing personal credibility through integrity, character and professional expertise
  • Experience working in a fashion/branded environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or engineering, MBA or advanced degree preferred
