Job Description

GENERAL FUNCTION

The manager of supply planning and analytics is responsible for the supply planning strategy for 100 factories across 12 brands with varying product categories, seasonality and growth trajectories. He/she is also responsible for building and operating an analytics team that supports not only supply chain modeling but also exception-based optimization across sourcing, product development and factory operations. The leader partners with key constituents across demand planning, sourcing and operations to model brand, fabrication and seasonal trends for supply planning and optimization while also enabling in season reaction to trends.   The leader will drive the advanced analytics and reporting across the supply chain and lead the selection and implementation of planning and analytical tools.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

  1. Develop, lead and evolve the global supply planning strategy, connecting long range sourcing plans to seasonal factory level production plans.
  2. Deliver a scalable, exception oriented and globally consistent supply planning process that balances flexibility drive growth while scaling a common process across brands with analytics / KPI development.
  3. Develop the strategic agenda for supply chain analytics team; build the team
  4. Lead the systems selection and implementation for implementation of packaged supply planning software across 12 brands, 4 regions and 100 factories.
  5. Lead the implementation of optimization / analytics; select and implement tools as required
  6. Participate in monthly planning S&OP for 12 brands, standardize best in class execution cadence.
  7. Lead the order-to-delivery analytics and reporting suite including lead time management, order window management, forecast accuracy, and order management exceptions.
  8. Drive use of emerging supply chain technologies including 2D datamatrix analysis, RFID, etc.
  9. Drive thought leadership around master production scheduling, MRP and other key planning concepts.
  10. Supervise 2-3 direct reports across multiple locations.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Data-driven leader that excels at simplifying complicated topics
  • Excellent Analytical skills and the ability to use extensive system knowledge to generate informative reports and analyze and recommend alternative actions
  • Prior experience working with and implementing large software rollouts
  • Collaborative team player with demonstrated integrity
  • Supply chain subject matter expert, experience working in branded environment preferred
  • Ability to synthesize data and draw clear, simple conclusions
  • Experience working in a fashion/branded environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to build informative reporting tools
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit
  • Interest to experiment and drive new learning and translate insights into original concepts that benefit the business
  • Inspire trust by establishing personal credibility through integrity, character and professional expertise
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or engineering, MBA or advanced degree preferred
