Head of Air Freight Department
Our client - a Global Logistics Organization is looking for strong calibres to join their winning team:
Job Description
- Supervise inbound and outbound freight operations including shift planning, freight loading and unloading, proper documentation and procedure control;
- Responsible for the overall profitability on Hong Kong Air freight department
- Communicate with Sales and CS team to achieve a smooth operation procedure
- Identify commercial opportunities to pursue directly or with the Sales team together
- Liaise and build strong relationships with airline and local co-loader
- Ad hoc projects as assigned
- Provide timely reports to HKG Managing Director on monthly financial report and analyze a periodically performance results
Job Requirements
- Minimum 10 years' work experience in freight forwarding industry, especially worked with reputable forwarders
- Preferably holder of IATA/FIATA Diploma or Certificate in air cargo related courses
- Good command in MS Office application and Chinese word processing
- Must be good in calculation, particularly in consolidation planning.
- Excellent in verbal and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to cope with airlines and other parties
- Reliable, independent, initiative, responsible, team work and commercial-minded
- Ability to maintain close relationship with co-loaders/contractors and inter-departments
- Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Act as team trainer of the air export/import operations team
- Possess strong commercial sense;
