Our client is the buying office of a leading European apparel company.

Responsibilities:

• Report to the Director based in Europe, the incumbent will work independently to manage the customs duties and other customs and trade related matters in APAC
• Manage the customs brokers across the region
• identify process improvement including the design and implementation of new practices
• Set up ad-hoc customs procedures in APAC countries to speed up the logistics process and reduce the administrative burden
• Manage customs audits including negotiation and settling of customs & trade disputes/claims
• Become an integral part of the global tax department and for specific projects taking the leading role in analyzing changes to supply chain and supply flows for imported and exported products
• Develop sound working relationships with key departments including sourcing, supply chain, transport and distribution, production and finance
• keep abreast of all customs related developments in legislation, case law and local practice and communication to the team 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree holder
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Regional Trade Compliance from the Apparel industry
• Sound knowledge and exposure in Tariff classification, Origin/Free Trade Agreements and Customs Valuation
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Independent, analytical with a strong business sense and the ability to multi-task
• Good command of both spoken and written Cantonese, English and Mandarin
