Technical Manager/Assistant Technical Manager (Chemical Discharge Management) 

Responsibilities: 

• Provide client facing engagement such as seminar, meeting, call to explain technical details for testing and regulations related analytical area for hardline, garment, toys in global level. Client is able to clear understand our solution after the engagement
• Provide global technical support to laboratory operation for establishment of global standard operating procedure, specific instruction including training
• Supervise junior staff for handling technical inquiry from laboratory operation 
  Assist / coordinate with the team to establish new testing offer based on global regulation update or specific global client request
• Review the technical details in case if client questioning for the testing result in lab operation in order to draw the conclusion to feedback client
• Keep a close watch on the developments in the field of sustainable chemistry, Roadmap to Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC), Detox and other related initiatives such as priority substances etc.
• Accompany with Account Management/ Business Development team to client’s meeting to understand client’s requirements including objectives, engagements and deliverables
• Conduct chemical management training to clients / factories and environmental audits of mills and suppliers
• Perform assessment of chemical inventory and processes such as dyeing, printing, special finishing etc. of Textiles / Footwear / Leather manufacturing facilities across different geographical regions
• Handle assessment of SDS (MSDS), Technical Data Sheets, other input materials and supply chain flow to understand and identify potential sources of hazardous chemicals
• Collect information / intelligence from clients engagement and analyze trend to explore new business opportunities

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry / Textile processing or related field
• Minimum 8 years relevant experience
• Auditor certification (IRCA, IEMA, etc) is preferred
• Experience with a brand & retailer / Dye / Chemical supplier and industry partner is preferred
• Fluency in both written and verbal English
• Good understanding of Hazardous Chemicals / Brands Restricted Substances Lists
• Good understanding ZDHC and related initiatives, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) process, dyes / textile / leather wet processing is preferred
• Effective team player with very good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good at managing multiple, diverse tasks simultaneously
• Demonstrated abilities in project management and customer support and services
