We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Engineer with an innovative mindset interested in healthcare product development. The person in this role will be responsible for understanding users’ needs, finding innovative solutions to problems, and implement cost-effective technology to meet market requirements. The candidate should support project management and must be motivated to deliver positive commercial results for the company.

Education requirement:

Degree or Higher Diploma in Electronic, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related disciplines

Emphasis in one or more of the following areas is required:

Project management, product design, product testing, manufacturing, QA/QC, quality management systems, electronic design, firmware design, Diptrace, and/or solidwork.

Primary responsibilities:

• Reporting to the director or other appropriate staff appointed by the Company.
• Working closely with other assigned researchers/engineers in product design and prototype building.
• Executing and monitoring of all regular purchasing duties, e.g., PO issuing, keep suppliers’ on-time delivery, price negotiation, sourcing, vendor audit, etc.
• Sourcing for new parts, replacement parts, and supplier handling.
• Testing and evaluation of R&D products as required.
• Provide technical and troubleshooting assistance to the group.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of product development projects.
• To handle any other relevant responsibilities assigned from time to time.

• Proactive, independent (including independent correspondences by electronic mail &/or in hard copy) and be able to prioritize (not only for oneself but also for the affected colleagues) and manage multiple tasks with a strong sense of responsibility for completing tasks.
• Mature, results oriented with international mindset and strong personal drive to take initiative and get things done.
• Excellent hands-on working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; be able to independently prepare and execute presentations, reports, graphs, charts, spreadsheets, etc.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
