Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • As a team leader, s/he is responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation and overall direction and promotion of fundraising appeals activities, that include face-to-face appeals, internet fundraising, school fundraising, high net worth individual donors and foundations and Oxfam Shop etc.
  • S/He will coordinate agency-wide fundraising campaigns to raise funding support and public donations
  • S/He has to assist the Unit Director in investigating the market trends and charitable giving in Hong Kong, exploring and developing new fundraising initiatives in local, the Mainland and overseas markets
  • S/He is also required to assist in the development of long-term fundraising strategy and work with other managers on annual work planning and budgeting.
  • S/He shall also work with the Communications Unit on the overall marketing communications, promotion, branding and representation of Oxfam Hong Kong work


Requirements:

  • Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Management or relevant disciplines is a clear advantage
  • With at least 10 years’ relevant experience in fundraising, business development and marketing in which a minimum of 5 years in managerial grade
  • High degree of initiative and commitment to income growth and goal attainments
  • Proven track record in securing corporate sponsorship and funding
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, and fluent Putonghua
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with senior executives and business leaders
  • Proficiency in MS office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is highly desirable
