Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for the promotion and development of Maharam's Brand and Sales development to select markets across a broad spectrum of multi-lingual clients.

 

Essential Functions

Promote and sell Maharam's Dutch and EU collaborative designed product lines, to select international clients. This includes promoting and selling these Dutch and UK collections to the architecture and design community, as well as other industry-related clients, such as office furniture dealers and wall covering contractors. Responsibilities include educating the local sales staff of Herman Miller teams and Herman Miller Dealership teams on these Dutch and UK colloborative collecttions.

 

Magnitude and relationship reporting

This position reports to  Vice President, Sales

 

Contacts inside and outside the organization

This position has contact with specifying clients, purchasing customers, Herman Miller sales teams and sales dealers, and end-users; as well as internal departments as needed.

Knowledge and skills

  • Confident, enthuastic and a well-informed communicator with a strong record of accomplishments and successful history of project involvement.
  • Forward looking to use their creative talents within the sales arena and possess the ability to effectively partner with and motivate others.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written in both speak Dutch and English
  • Commitment to integrity.
  • Strong experience working with various European companies with a focus on PR and Marketing.
  • Organization and time management skills are a must, as regional travel will consistently be needed.
  • Relocation overseas for a minimum two year period, with the location TBD is required.

 

Education and experience

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • A masters degree in business
  • 1 – 2 years of PR, Communication, and Marketing experience with a Maharam Dutch Colloborative desgn office
  • 1 – 2 years working in the UK
  • 2-4 years of sales experience
