We are looking for MT to join the operation team and perform genetic testing such as DNA extraction, qPCR, high-throughput sequencing and report preparation. The individual(s) also ensures proper laboratory record maintenance is in effect, cases processed in a timely fashion, and contributes to general laboratory maintenance.

o   Job Duties:

• MLT1
• Implementation of quality policy; monitor standards of performance and continuous quality improvement
• Monitor work performed in the laboratory to ensure clinically relevant information is being generated
• Evaluate, develop and implement laboratory procedures and protocols o Investigate technical issues and perform corrective actions
• Evaluate, test, recommend and implement purchase of equipment & reagents o Provide professional development programs for laboratory staff and opportunities to participate in scientific and other activities of professional laboratory organization o
• Other professional duties assigned by the senior management team

• MLT2
• Follow laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of assays done.
• Extracts DNA or RNA from different biological samples. Quantification and quality control of DNA
• Performs various molecular techniques related to next-generation sequencing and qPCR
• Operate molecular diagnostic equipment and instruments according to SOPs
• Perform quality control and maintenance check
• Perform any other professional duties as specified by the laboratory manager

o   Who you are:

• MLT1
• Experience in setting up medical diagnostic laboratory o Experience in next-generation sequencing and molecular diagnostics
• Holder of a valid practicing license (Part I) issued by HK MLT Board, preferably with experience in molecular diagnosis
• Experience in implementation of ISO15189:2012 quality management system.
• Knowledge and experience in CAP accreditation is a strong plus o Knowledgeable +- publication(s) in clinical genomics, high-throughput sequencing protocols and bioinformatics concept is preferred
• Track record in designing / implementation / execution of clinical grade high-throughput sequencing LDTs is highly preferred

• MLT2
• BSc in Medical Laboratory Sciences/ Biomedical Sciences or equivalent
• Holder of a valid practicing license (Part I or Part II) issued by HK MLT Board, preferably with experience in Molecular diagnosis
• Prior experience and knowledge of accreditation is an advantage
• Genuine interest in medical laboratory sciences for career advancement
