Job Description

 Job Purpose:

“To create and deliver new, engaging and exciting digital experiences across lanecrawford.com in line with the Lane Crawford brand to create the most engaging and connected online shopping experience”

 

Content Design

  • Deliver a unique feel and point of view on fashion, beauty and lifestyle for Lane Crawford digital presence (English and Chinese) that is fresh, distinct and easily recognizable by visitors and customers, driving brand engagement and ultimately sales
  • To assist in the creation of in-store activation and windows 
  • To provide design/ construction build details 
  • Work with templates and initiate new and improved layouts and interaction
  • Implement excellent layout and typography skills aligning all design elements
  • Prepare all designs to be development ready, ensuring developers are clear on delivery and expectation (layout, devices, animations/transitions etc.)
  • Strong participation in image sourcing for designs, either through paid content or contacts

 

Site and Digital Platform Design

  • Develop and frame creative concepts according to creative/product brief requirements and have a strong understanding of communication objectives
  • Demonstrate a user centric approach from concepts to wireframes/mock up and prototyping / delivery
  • Design new pages, concepts and functional features to be development ready, ensuring developers are clear on delivery and expectation (layout, devices, animations/transitions etc.)

 

Design Trends and Best Practices

  • Explore creativity and innovation for the technical delivery of designs and interactions working  with web developer as well as usability and tech teams

 

Job Requirements

  • 3 years’ experience within a design studio or in-house environment focused on digital projects and/or UI/UX initiatives
  • Degree in design or graphic design-related field
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Mastery of Mac computers and MacOS/iOS. Ideally candidates can work in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch up, VRay or other 3D modeling tools would be an advantage
  • Web development skills, understanding of digital design and its requirements
  • Video and photography technology/platform familiarity a plus
  • Can work cooperatively as part of a team – and also independently
  • Confidence in communication to build effective relationships with internal & external parties
  • A positive, hands-on attitude, able to work within tight deadlines
  • Superior attention to detail and with a proven ability to remain task focused
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese. Mandarin would be an advantage.
