Sitting at the heart of Hong Kong’s financial markets, the key role HKEX plays in its community is central to its ongoing success. The HKEX Foundation has recently been setup to act as a single channel and a point of focus for the Group’s philanthropic efforts as well as a key interface for employee engagement and awareness. This exciting and newly established role will focus on the operation of HKEX Foundation and will work alongside colleagues in the broader Corporate Communications Department which is responsible for managing the Group’s internal and external communications, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and the Group’s events.

Job Responsibilities

• Act as the primary day-to-day contact for all foundation activities

• Provide support to the board of directors of HKEX Foundation and other philanthropy-related committees and working groups within HKEX Group to ensure the effective implementation of the Group’s activities on community investment and charitable donations
• Plan, manage and execute philanthropic and employee volunteering initiatives (including ad hoc projects such as disaster relief campaigns) for HKEX’s stakeholders including employees and charity partners
• Track and conduct impact analysis on major philanthropic and employee volunteering initiatives in accordance with the best practices and make recommendations for future development
• Prepare communications of the Group’s community giving and engagement efforts for both internal and external stakeholders. This may include but not be limited to internal management reports, annual CSR reports, newsletters, press release, social media and website updates
• Establish and maintain good relationship with a broad array of stakeholders such as the government bodies, regulators, charity partners,  policy advocacies, academia and wider community groups
• Collaborate with different business units within the Group on driving its philanthropic and the wider CSR objectives
• Conduct research on the local and international community engagement and CSR policies, legislations, requirements and relevant best practices
• Assist in all other tasks and duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

• Be a self-motivated, organised, confident, collaborative person who embraces the highest level of integrity and has a strong desire to achieve and deliver excellence
• Have a positive attitude, be prepared to ‘roll their sleeves up’ and want to have out a career in one of Hong Kong’s most influential companies, at a time when ESG an CSR are increasing in global relevance
• Be intellectually curious, aware of the critical role that we play in the community and with a passion for what we can achieve
• Have university educated – a degree in Business Administration,  Economics, Corporate Communications, CSR, Sustainability or relevant disciplines would be advantageous
• Have at least 5-year experience in a charitable foundation or trust operation, or in CSR, sustainability consulting or corporate communications role
• Have extensive exposure working with local NGOs and/or academia and be familiar with local social and environmental policies and agenda
• Be a strong communicator with an excellent command of verbal and written English and Chinese (Cantonese essential, Putonghua ideally)
• Be conversant with computer software such as MS Office and Adobe suite
• Be able to work independently and with excellent attention to detail
