With strong brand reputation locally, to bring the organization to its next level both locally and internationally, our client is looking for a high calibre communications professional to join the team. This is a newly created role. 

Reporting to the CCO and working closely with the CEO, you will be planning and delivering a strategic and successful cohesive communications plan to promote and protect the organization, with local and regional financial media as a key channel. You will champion media campaigns, pitch stories and creatively position ideas and thought-leadership with the local, and broader, press. You will ensure senior executives have balanced and appropriate media exposure; design and “sell” public relations opportunities and work with the business to pitch their leadership and expertise to a broad local and international audience. You will work on C-suite and group speeches, presentations and events. Depending on experience, other responsibilities are but not limited to: external stakeholder engagement, act as a spokesperson and handle media enquiries, cross-collaboration with other teams like corporate branding, digital communications and events teams.  

The ideal candidate should be a degree holder in a related discipline, with at least 15 years of corporate communications experience in financial markets, capital markets, fintech or market regulator and with some experience in a listed company. Experience in working directly with C-suite and with strong local/regional financial media network is highly regarded. You are a self-starter, self-motivated, dynamic, and capable in managing diverse relationships. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is mandatory.
