Job Description

We are currently looking for a digital marketing specialist with Cosmetics and Toiletries Industry experience to take the role of Digital Marketing Manager (Greater China).

 

The basic duties and responsibilities will include but limited to the following:

 

  • Adopts a strategic digital approach to build global footprint for the locally based company and helps it enter the China markets to grow its business and ROI;
  • Manages the company’s brand, messaging and positioning online;
  • Provides advanced digital marketing technology solutions and outstanding services to lift brand awareness, boost quality traffic, maximize lead and conversion and broaden audience base via online channels including search engines, social media, websites and mobile applications;
  • Develops various digital marketing strategies for a brand in alignment with other brands offered by the same company or manufacturer;
  • Brings long-term value to brands through performance-driven digital marketing solutions;
  • Finds methods for marketing on a digital level that are effective and economically feasible;
  • Executes and optimizes digital campaigns by data-driven insights and elevates results with cutting-edge analytic and optimization tools;
  • Coordinates and executes evaluations of digital activities and develops standards for these evaluations;
  • Manages the various display advertising agencies that are responsible for the development of advertising campaigns and maintains a rapport relationship with them to receive premier support, official trainings, strategy consultations and recognitions from them;
  • Creates and maintains various social media accounts including WeChat, WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and others;
  • Works with website developers and content writers to ensure website visibility and functionality;
  • Stimulates dialogue and communication with consumers, mostly from the Chinese mainland;
  • Prepares web content updates to ensure that consumers on the Chinese mainland are provided with the most relevant content and information;
  • Conducts consumer surveys in order to determine which methods of digital marketing are the most effective;
  • Communicates results of surveys and various marketing campaigns to pertinent individuals and departments within the company;
  • Prioritizes demands and tasks in order to meet expectations;
  • Makes sure that all working practices and procedures are complied with Company’s policies and objectives and the PRC laws and regulations;
  • Leads a performance-oriented account service team comprising of 1 digital marketing analyst, 1 web design and development specialist and 1 customer relations officer to facilitate business needs and to achieve business targets;
  • Provides supervision, direction and leadership for the account service team to raise the standard of performance in meeting the goals for consumers; and
  • Perform personnel management function in recruitment and appraisal.

 

Skills, knowledge and personal attributes:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Computer Science or relevant field of study;
  • Minimum four years of solid experience in project management within a marketing discipline, preferably in E-commerce;
  • Understands digital marketing strategy development and how consumers respond to various forms of media;
  • Possesses the knowledge required to measure, increase and maintain website traffic, such as A/B Testing, MVT Testing, SEM, SEO, SERPs, CMS, CRM and EDM;
  • Is skilled and seasoned in managing integrated digital campaigns for multiple brands; Displays a firm understanding of using digital media to advertise and sell products;
  • Shows keen understanding of social media and how it can be used to reach consumers;
  • Displays extensive knowledge in relation to the product or service being marketed to the public;
  • Speaks fluent Mandarin;
  • Possesses excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and is capable of persuading consumers to purchase products through various digital means;
  • Is proficient in writing and/or editing marketing content;
  • Is detail oriented (e.g. able to review large volumes of content & catch even minor errors);       
  • Is self-motivated and able to act independently to solve problems as they occur; and
  • Is well-versed in the application of BI tools, Adobe Target, Adobe Connect, Adobe SiteCatalyst, and other digital marketing tools and is savvy to learn external or in-house tools quickly.
