Job Description
Summary Statement: Reporting to the Senior Regional Manager, Product Marketing and Market Development, the Product Marketing Specialist coordinates product-focused marketing activities on behalf of Asia Business Unit. Support product marketing needs of BU and coordinates activities including pricing and forecasting. Collaborate with key stakeholders (Sales, MARCOM, Global Product Management, Operations, etc.), to support product-related activities from initial concept (e.g. research) through product launch (e.g. external communications, channel activities, etc.). Provide support for assigned customer / market segments & product categories, including category & competitive trends
Representative Duties:
- Assist the Product Marketing team in defining key product attribute requirements for assigned new products prior to and during their development
- Work closely with Sales and MARCOM team to develop new product positioning statements and introduction plans
- Provide internal training on new products assigned to Shure Associates from various functional teams prior to launch. Assist Product Marketing team to provide technical support on new products to channel partners
- Coordinates maintenance of line (MOL) activities and life cycle management (LCM) initiatives for assigned lines as required
- Achieve knowledge of various Asian market segments including market dynamics and competitive landscape on the assigned product lines, and evaluate potential for variations of the core SKUs
- Provides tradeshow support and attendance
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline; qualification in Engineering or Electronics Engineering is desirable
- Minimum 5 years of experience with a comprehensive knowledge of product marketing or brand/product management
- Technology, Consumer Electronics or Professional Audio/Video industry experience preferred
- Able to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Able to work in a cross-functional team environment
- Effective communicator with good presentation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin
- Willing to travel
