Job Purpose:            

To ensure Group's internal controls, procedures and mechanisms conform to top management's instructions, regulatory guidelines, industry practices and Internal Policy and Procedures.

Key Accountabilities:

In addition to following Lane Crawford Joyce Group policies and procedures, key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Audit and Concurrence (70%)

• To liaise with the auditee efficiently to gather and obtain relevant information and documents during audit field work.
• To perform data analysis and prepare schedules of analysis in support of the findings and working papers during fieldworks.
• To prepare a draft summary of audit findings and recommendations, identifying the correct issues with practical recommended solutions.
• To ensure a smooth and effective audit commencement, outlining the scope, objectives and approach of the review under supervision.
• To design audit programmes.
• To complete the administrative works of the department.
• To carry out ad hoc assignments as and when required.

Compliance and Business Integrity (30%)

• To ensure that people understand and are complying with the procedures and processes.
• To ensure compliance of internal controls.
• To ensure that financial practices are sound and in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and prevailing legislation as well as company guidelines, policies and procedures.
• To communicate effectively with other functions, understand their needs and impact upon them in implementing policies and procedures.
• To work independently and behave with integrity.
• To fully understand and be able to communicate our Omni-channel service to customers if needed.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Business or related disciplines.
• 2 to 3 years relevant working experience in accounting firm with external audit experience. Taxation focus is also acceptable.
• Willingness to travel to China occasionally.
•  Good command of English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
