Job Description

CULTURE PROMOTION AND EVENTS OFFICE

Assistant Officer (Ref. 19052701-E3)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) assist in organising and promoting quality arts and cultural programmes on campus;

(b) assist in venue booking, repair and maintenance, venue operation and programme operations;
 
(c) provide operational and logistic support to special projects and functions, including data mining, collating and compiling;

(d) assist in filing and compiling various kinds of reports and presentations as well as maintaining effective record systems;
        
(e) perform administrative and clerical duties of the office; and

(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Office or his/her delegates.

The appointee will be required to work on irregular hours and on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree / certificate / diploma OR five passes in HKCEE including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A; Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards), Chinese Language (Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards) and Mathematics; or a combination of results in five HKDSE subjects of Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E in Other Language subjects, and the five subjects must include English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics plus at least five years of relevant experience;

(b) strong passion in art and culture;

(c) good interpersonal and communication skills;

(d) the ability to work independently, proactively, and to handle multiple tasks concurrently;

(e) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and

(f) good knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, Access, Adobe Photoshop, FrontPage, Chinese word processing and basic knowledge of HTML webpage implementation.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.  Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
