Job Description

Wealth Planner – Private Banking (PB)

Responsibilities:

Support the Bank’s clients who are based in North East Asia and South East Asia for Trust Services. To ensure the sales processes and procedures adhere to Bank’s internal policies, business processes and regulatory requirements including complying with the Financial Advisers Act and related Acts. Below are the 3 areas of work for the role.

Trusts

  •          Familiar with different types of succession planning, asset consolidation and protection vehicles;
  •          Support Wealth Planning Team in the set up and management of relationships with Trustees;
  •          Manage Vendor Due Diligence application and review process;
  •          Prepare memo requests and Head Office Product Approval Committee presentations;
  •          Ensure adherence to Vendor Due Diligence guidelines and all related Wealth Management policies.

 

Product Training

  •          Work with the entire team to drive awareness of Wealth Planning services and be a contributor primarily in Trust Services in Wealth Planning;
  •          Provide Wealth Planning training to Relationship Managers and International Private Banking Team Members as required;
  •          Provide support to Relationship Managers and Product Platform as required.

 

Sales & Support

  •          Provide support and cover when Wealth Planners are on marketing visits;
  •          Develop marketing materials for trust services;
  •          Prepare proposals & presentations for prospective clients;
  •          Act as liaison point for all Trust related activities.

Requirements:

  • University degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Business or Law;
  • 3-5 years of relevant client facing experience in Trust or Trust Services in Trust Company or Bank;
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical and logical skills in problem solving;
  • Strong product and market knowledge;
  • Able to handle multi-tasks and is organized;
  • Strong team player with Excellent interpersonal skills and can work independently with little supervision;
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (especially Mandarin).
