Job Description

To assist his / her supervisors to effectively boost the readership of Bauhinia’s publications, including:

• Writing insightful analyses and commentaries on topical issues in Chinese;
• Conducting desk research to strengthen the content of analyses;
• Preparing publicity materials including speeches, articles and opinion pieces;
• Proposing ideas / topics for commentaries that will interest members of the public; and
• Providing administrative support to the Team / communication activities including translation.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

• A recognised degree or equivalent; preferably in Language Studies, Journalism and Communication Studies;
• Excellent command of written English and Chinese and at least 3 years of proven track record in writing news, articles or papers in journalism or related field;
• Strong sensitivity to public and current affairs;
• An analytical mind, conscientious attitude towards fact-finding, and ability to evaluate and use information from a variety of sources; and
• An ability to complete assignments independently.

Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend a written test.

Salary

Applicants with less relevant experience may also be considered, the salary will be commensurate with relevant experience.
