Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and carry out the repair and maintenance work of all Army properties
- Provide professional advices on Electrical & Mechanical work and non-building services work so as to help end-users to make the best decision
- Prepare working drawings, tender documents including all necessary specifications of the works
- Evaluate the costs and quotations/tenders for the project, including the post-contract variation
- Ensure that the progress of the project is on schedule and evaluate whether the technological standards meet the Army’s needs
- Coordinate work schedules between the Contractors and the Army’s unit
- Liaise between the Architects and Engineers to meet the Army’s needs
- Being a member of the typhoon emergency team and available on call in case of emergency
- Perform any other legitimate duties assigned by supervisor and management
REQUIREMENTS
- An understanding of the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army
- Higher Diploma or Degree in Building Services Engineering or related disciplines
- Holder of Registered Electrical Worker Certificate (Grade B) will be an advantage
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant work experience of building maintenance, planning, scheduling for maintenance works, fitting-out works of E&M & non-building services issues for properties
- Hands-on experience in managing building improvement, site coordination and emergency repair works
- Experience in managing contractors will be an advantage
- Knowledge in building services regulations, building regulations and code of practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
- Good command of AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, etc.
- Able to work independently and under pressure
- Work overtime as and when required
- Immediate available is highly preferable
