FACILITIES MANAGEMENT OFFICE

Facilities Officer (Ref. 19053007-E7)

Duties

The appointee will report to the Client Services Section in the area of campus control and be required to:

(a) provide one-stop client-focused facilities management services as well as lead and supervise a team of operational staff including security guards;

(b) liaise and co-ordinate with the parties concerned for the repairs and maintenance, replacement, upgrading and installations of security systems and University’s properties;

(c)  liaise with the parties concerned and co-ordinate the provision of security guarding services;
 
(d) design, prepare specifications and drawings for various security systems and facilities, and evaluate tenders if necessary;

(e) monitor the progress and quality of work performed by contractors and in-house staff;

(f)  perform shift duties including working on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays; and

(g) handle any other duties as assigned by the Director of Office or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree, diploma or higher certificate in a related discipline or an equivalent qualification;

(b) at least three years of relevant experience; and

(c) customer-oriented mindset and good interpersonal skills.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
