Job Description

FACILITIES MANAGEMENT OFFICE

Senior Facilities Officer (Campus Control) (Ref. 19053011-E2)

Duties

The appointee will report to the Client Services Section in the area of campus control services and be required to:

(a) provide one-stop client-focused facilities management services to the University community as well as supervise a team of operational staff in the Campus Control Centre of the Section;

(b) assist in managing the Centre to provide round-the-clock services (i.e. operating under 24-hour/7-day model);

(c) assist the Team Head in coordinating with different parties including contractors on the execution of planned maintenance/replacement/upgrading works to building fabrics/fittings/fixture and/or building services installation/systems;

(d) provide proactive support to handle emergency incidents and implement the crisis management procedures;

(e) provide cross functional support to major University events and activities;
 
(f) perform shift duties including working on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays when necessary; and

(g) handle any other duties as assigned by the Director of Office or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a)  a recognised degree in Facility Management, Security Management, Property Management or a related discipline;

(b) at least five years of relevant experience in risk management, safety and security functions, crowd control, facilities management and client services;

(c) supervisory experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and operational staff in collaboration with clients, service contractors and other stakeholders; and

(d)  excellent communication, supervisory and interpersonal skills.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
