Job Description

Responsibilities

  • As one of the project managers and product owners of Quality Tourism Services (QTS) Scheme, oversee and drive development strategy and enhancement campaigns of the Scheme.
  • Monitor the performance of the outsourced vendor to ensure their effective and timely implementation in accordance to the contractual terms and achieve business goals in terms of the Scheme operation and assessment process.
  • Monitor closely the quality issue related to tourism trade locally in Hong Kong and quality initiatives done by other NTO and come up with enhancement plan and merchant quality enhancement programs with the ultimate objective in elevating the overall standard of the industry.
  • Establish close contact with the trade associations, business partners and stakeholders in the non-travel trade sectors for thorough understanding on trade practices and business operation to embrace good business practice and consumer needs to enhance the existing criteria of the Scheme.
  • Oversee and continuously look for development and enhancement of all QTS merchants touch points of the Scheme operation and visitors feedback channels regarding QTS merchants.
  • Provide secretariat support on QTS Committee and Sub-Committee ensuring efficient operation in accordance to the terms of reference of the Committees.
  • Oversee the administration of the Scheme so as to ensure a smooth execution of the day-to-day operations of the Scheme.
  • Engage in any other ad hoc projects like to drive the branding and marketing activities of the 20th Anniversary of the QTS Scheme


Requirements

  • 10 years relevant working experience of which at least 4 years at managerial level.
  • A degree or equivalent in hospitality study or business management.
  • Solid experience in product management, operation or customer services areas. Experience in tourism industry is an advantage.
  • Good understanding and close relationship with tourism services providers in Hong Kong, especially for retail, dining, and visitor accommodation sectors.
  • Team player with good organisational skills and capability of assessing and optimising processes.
  • A strong sense of commitment to enhance the quality standard of merchants which will bring towards the total satisfaction of visitors.
  • Excellent communication skill, interpersonal, problem solving and report writing skills.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese including Mandarin.
