Job Description

 

Responsibilities:

 

Operations Copiloting

  • Understands and monitors the business expenditure and investment of the responsible portfolio, fostering a mentality of "challenging the usual" to optimize investment
  • Monitor, analyse and follow up on monthly costs and conduct monthly cost follow ups with department managers and responsible team members to ensure all costs are in-line with the budget and current sales results
  • Develop and implement methods and tracking systems to increase efficiency, decrease costs and work with team to create an action plan on any deviations

 

Decision Support

  • Review and provide insight analysis on business performance towards achievement of objectives
  • Validate and control the investments / expenditures to ensure the all aspects of the responsible portfolio is within the budget and allocation is done according to the latest plan
  • Support decision making by giving unbiased and constructive feedback while fostering a mentality of "challenging the usual"

 

Forecasting (MBS, OP and DF)

  • Manage cost forecasting to Nespresso HQ and local Nestle including: staffing, Training & Travelling costs, logistic, COGS, recycling and bad goods
  • Ensure that all internal forecasting deadlines are respected and completed according to defined timetables
  • Actively take part in the different teams’ activity meetings and challenging the data input to achieve business commitment and ensure quality forecasting.
  • Work closely with the managers to ensure all aspects of operations are financially modelled and evaluated before inclusion in any forecast
  • Complete OP and DF's and review in partnership with all responsible department managers and team members
  • Track and analyses the Income Statement and any KPIs of responsible portfolio towards achievement of objectives

 

Internal Reporting

  • Manage and maintain forecasting template to ensure it mostly updated and functioned
  • Assist and support F&C manager to create and manage Co-piloting templates and tools
  • Manage KPI dashboard and develop reports, presentation slides for Mancom meetings
  • Be backup of Assistant accounting manager for Period booking closing

 

 

Requirements:

  • Business Administration or Economics degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ cumulative experience at least 2 of which in as Cost Controller
  • Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry experience or retail preferable
  • Stakeholder Management in a matrix organisation
  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies (DMAIC, GSTD...)
  • Experience in cost accounting systems like “Standard”, “Activity Based”, “Resource Consumption”, “Throughput” or “Life Cycle”
  • Customer centricity
  • Good knowledge of business principles and best practices to ensure sustainability of business and drive continuous performance improvement
  • Solid understanding of value creation process to influence 7 value drivers optimizing shareholder value in a sustainable manner
  • Solid knowledge of business drivers to generate relevant insights applying "big picture" approach
  • Good understanding of the Nespresso Roadmap
  • Strong ethics
  • Good Communicator, both oral and written
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • Open-minded
