Our client is a large international group with strong market share in Asia Pacific. To cope with its expansion across the region, they are looking for a seasoned Head of IT governance (Asia) to help bring the organization to next level.

Job purpose:

The Regional Head of IT Governance is responsible for improving the efficiency of the Asia IT organization by:

• As member of the Asia IT Leadership team, participate actively to the overall Business Technology Strategy and leading practices definition
• Organizing and contributing to the definition of Business Technology Strategy and IT governance, in line with business guidelines and ambitions for the future
• Evaluating the performance of the IT organization and the value delivered to the business
• Improving the maturity of the IT Organization
• Ensuring that IT resources are optimized to support business processes
• Managing the IT budget and monitoring IT spends and associated risks
• The IT Governance team provides support to the IT organization and plays a role of coordination between IT and other departments (HR, Audit, Finance, external vendors…).

Responsibilities:

• Contribute & Define the IT Governance strategy of the Group in the Asia region
• Responsible for the organization of the Business Strategy process (data gathering, workshop preparation, strategy document writing).
• Evaluate the performance of the IT organization and the value delivered to the business.
• Coordinate the IT budgeting process, supervise the budget consolidation and analysis of Actual/Last estimate, monitor IT spends.
• Define priorities for the IT Governance team and manage talent and skill development.
• Interact with HR on people development and skills.
• Organize training and refresher courses of the IT Team.
• Gather feedbacks, research best practices and lead changes of the processes to increase IT maturity.
• Formalize and execute Group IT standards and best practices.
• Coordinate the IT Audit process, supervising the audit consolidation and reporting
• Coordinate the follow-up of relevant IT projects.
• Oversee release management of the IT ITSM and Portfolio platform

Requirements:

• at least 10 years of previous experience in IT
• Experience in IT Governance within a large international group
• Hands-on experience with IT Solutions or Infrastructure delivery
• Ability to think conceptually and strategically
• Excellent knowledge of IT objectives and strategies
• Managing experience, familiarity with project methodology
• Ability to interact with other IT departments and various corporate profiles
• High degree of autonomy
• Excellent verbal, written, planning and organizational skills
• Excellent time management, decision making, organization and interpersonal skills
• Creativity and a wide degree of latitude are expected
