Job Description

HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT OFFICE

Development Officer (Ref. 19053112-E)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) plan and organise health, safety and environmental activities and events, such as safety  promotions, exhibitions, seminars, conferences, competitions, visits and ceremonies, etc.;

(b) collaborate and engage with internal and external stakeholders;

(c) build strengths on campus-wide promotion, awareness, and communication of health, safety and environment using modern technology as a mode of communication;

(d) provide administrative, marketing, social media and technical support in health and safety projects and related activities;

(e) expand scope of service coverage to the Shenzhen Base and to any development opportunities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area;

(f) manage and maintain HSEO websites to meet eventual transformation to Enterprise Wide Content Management System (EWCMS) platform;

(g) support SMART Technology Application via digital platform to enhance workflow and sharing amongst departments such as ITS WayFinding Apps for AEDs location, IOT, etc.;

(h) prepare marketing and promotional materials such as brochures and newsletters;

(i) provide support to committees and working groups; and

(j) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Office or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree in Marketing, Communications or related disciplines;

(b) have at least five years of post-qualification relevant experience;

(c) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua;

(d) have excellent interpersonal, presentation and project management skills; and

(e) be a good team player.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test.  

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.  Applicants should state their current and expected salary in their application.
