Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Implement projects in the areas of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Health supplement, TCM registration, TCM GMP and related R&D in HK or PRC
  • Prepare proposals, reports and presentation files on government initiatives and other various industry support programmes
  • Undertake project prospection responsibilities and identify new business opportunities
  • Maintain network with key industry players, e.g. government authorities, professional bodies, and associations, etc.
  • Conduct desktop research on TCM and related compliance issues and policies in HK and overseas, and propose new initiatives or supporting programmes for TCM industry
  • Support the organization of technical seminars, workshops, exhibitions and visits in PRC or overseas
  • Handle other ad hoc projects or assignments

Job Requirements:

  • Degree or above in disciplines such as Chinese Medicine, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Quality, Chemistry, Bio Chemistry or equivalent
  • As least 4 years’ relevant experience on TCM registration and GMP work, related research, and preparation of proposals and reports
  • Proficient in computer packages including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Mature, self-motivated, flexible and able to work independently
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua
  • Applicants may be considered for other positions if not matching the requirements of the subject position

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
