Job Description

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager (Corporate Communications), the appointee will be required to:

  • Assist in developing and implementing corporate branding and communication strategies to enhance the PMSA’s corporate image;
  • Perform daily monitoring of print, electronic and online news as well as social media and prepare daily and ad hoc media summaries;
  • Be responsible for content development, writing, translation, proofreading and editing of communications and publicity materials including press releases, speeches, advertorials, publications, videos and printing materials;
  • Liaise with external vendors/ agencies on design and production of corporate publications and publicity materials;
  • Maintain corporate website contents with up-to-date information;
  • Assist in handling media enquiries and managing the dissemination of information to the media;
  • Provide support in communications functions such as media and publicity events, media interviews and press conferences, etc.; and
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time.

 

Requirements          

  • A recognised degree in Communications, Public Relations, Translation or a related discipline;
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in sizable organisations, with experience in public sectors being an advantage;
  • Strong communication, presentation and organisation skills; a team player with a strong sense of responsibility;
  • Ability to work independently and under tight schedule; and
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.

 

Terms of Appointment

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  An initial 3-year contract will be offered to the successful candidate of the post. Future employment may be offered on renewable contracts subject to performance and staffing needs.
