Job Description

The Department Manager is a professional in the assigned goods category who is responsible for promoting brand loyalty to customers in the luxury goods sector in order to guarantee the achievement of the quantitative and qualitative objectives set for his/her department and for the store. He/she represents the company and is a proactive sales professional who operates according to the directions received from the Store Manager.

 
The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

  • Keeps his/her team constantly posted on the Store/ assigned department performance
  • Guarantees excellent customer welcoming and service and supervises sales to ensure customer satisfaction and that the qualitative standards required by our brand are maintained
  • Creates his/her team coordinating their activities in order to make sure that team members are always motivated and competent
  • Defines quantitative and qualitative objectives and ensures they are achieved by results analysis, verifying monthly activities and setting up yearly assessments
  • Provides Retail Merchandisers with prompt and accurate feedback on any request of products related to his/her category
  • Suggests to the Store Manager and to the Visual Merchandiser for the merchandising proposals for his/her product category, both for windows and store interiors, according to the sales trends, seasonality, local events, customers or market needs
  • Analyses sales based on corporate reports, verifies the stocks of his/her department and transmits on a daily basis such technical and stock information to the team
  • Prepare and analyze reports about sales, product and CRM

 

Requirements:

  • 6 years’ or above relevant experience in retail industry, with at least 2 years in supervisory level; 
  • Solid retail operations skills and strong strive to achieve sales; 
  • Strong sense of ownership and passionate in fashion retail; 
  • Mature, pro-active and result driven.
