We are an electronic market maker which is specialized in matching buy and sell orders on equities in over 10 Asian countries, relying on our proprietary quantitative models and trading systems.We aim to make the financial markets more efficient with our growing presence in the Asian markets, leading to improved liquidity and reduced execution costs for investors.

Job Description

With the investments we’ve made and growth in the firm, now is the time to be at XY Capital and we are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our trading team. We seek a candidate with the experience and leadership in trading across the Asian and Global markets. This candidate will use their experience to help create and lead our futures trading desk. This role will report to the CEO and will be a key member of the XY Capital staff as we continue to grow and scale.

Responsibilities:

• Create and lead futures trading desk, managing separate P&L
• Actively trade futures across various global markets
• Introduce new trading ideas and develop new trading models
• Collaborate with team of traders to synergize trading strategies
• Work with CEO to implement and test trading strategies
• Analyze trading performance and recommend improvements
• Help manage and coach growing team of traders
• Collaborate with developers to update and refine algorithms
• Ad hoc projects

Requirements: 

• Degree in Finance, Math, Economics, or Computer Science preferred
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in proprietary or hedge fund firm
• Proven track record of performance in futures trading
• Prior management experience is a plus
• Self-starter that can both lead and work independently
• Must be able to balance many tasks, be a strong decision maker, and maintain high ethical integrity
• Ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment
• Strong command of spoken and written English
