Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing & Guest Experience Coordinator coordinates various MVC Marketing Business Administration activities. Greet package tour guests as they arrive to airport or for check-in at the Hotel. Provide information about the Sales Presentation Tour to guests. Provide directions to the sales center for package tour guests or make transportation arrangements. Provide concierge services to all location guests and encourage participation in a Sales Presentation Tour. Explain details and requirements related to attending a sales presentation to potential owners. Verify that individuals meet eligibility requirements for preview package sales/tours prior to scheduling a tour for a Marriott Vacation Club property.

 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Core Marketing Activities

  • Manages and monitors the travel agent license requirements of the company
  • Supports Marketing management on administrative duties
  • Conducts relevant marketing research for designated projects/initiatives
  • Assist management with preparing presentations, reports, and or other relevant documents
  • Assists with translation of marketing collateral, contracts, documents as deemed necessary
  • Coordinates with vendors and partners on behalf of management when necessary
  • Assists in the planning and coordination of marketing programs including partner programs, digital, direct mail, eDM, etc
  • Confirm presentation appointments for Members and guests and arrange to greet them at the agreed location (hotel reception / lobby or at the meeting venue).
  • Greet Members and guests at the Airport or the Hotel reception desk.
  • Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally.
  • Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to MVW and MVCI
  • Perform general office duties to support Marketing operation (e.g., filing, sending emails, typing, sending outgoing faxes, delivering incoming faxes, copying, opening or distributing mail).

  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
  • Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
  • Follow company and department policies and procedures.
  • Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

 Guest Relations

  • Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible.
  • Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests using brand or property specific process (e.g., LEARN, PLEASED, Guest Response, LEAP) to resolve issues, delight, and build trust.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell.
  • Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

  • Proficiency in the use of computer word processing skills with specific knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Must be able to handle a flexible work schedule which will include weekends and evenings.
  • Experience in high volume, fast-paced, results oriented business environments.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and be a self-starter.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and interact with all levels of the organization.

 

 

Work Days and Times:

 

Wednesday to Sunday: 10:00am to 7pm (Inclusive of 1-hour lunch time)
